As the QA Automation Team Leader at aiOla, your role will be pivotal in overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, including the design, development, and implementation of automated testing frameworks. You will collaborate with the development teams to identify and resolve any defects in both new and existing software. Your expertise will guide the QA Automation team in creating effective test strategies and automation scripts, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and user experience. As the Team Lead, you will also be responsible for mentoring the QA Automation team, optimizing test processes, and maintaining documentation on test automation practices. Your leadership will be key in driving the continuous improvement of our QA methodologies and tools.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in QA automation, with a proven track record of designing and implementing automated tests for complex software applications.
  • B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Team Leader of QA Automation team.
  • Strong proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to details.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the QA Automation team, providing technical guidance, support, and training to enhance team capabilities and performance.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to ensure timely and effective testing of new features and enhancements.
  • Define and implement automation frameworks, tools, and strategies to optimize test coverage and efficiency.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute test cases based on project requirements and risk assessments.
  • Conduct code reviews, identify defects, and provide recommendations for improvements to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Establish and maintain QA metrics and reports to track test results, defect rates, and overall quality trends.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA automation to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure alignment of testing activities with development cycles and release schedules.
